Carp E. Diem (a.k.a Brian Foster) began his professional artistic career as a puppeteer in the Washington DC area. As a puppeteer he created musicals with a spin on fairy tales, performing in schools, libraries, festivals and more. Carp then got a music degree in Piano Performance at the University of Maryland, and taught guitar and piano to students in Paris France and Washington DC. These days Carp is content to produce music in his treehouse under the sea - and not hearing things quite right - kind of pickled, a little salty, ever tasty.
Carp E. Diem began his artistic career as a puppeteer, working for Blue Sky Puppet Theatre in University Park MD. After a three year apprenticeship, Carp began his own puppet company, Silly Socks Puppet Theatre.
He has performed at the Kennedy Center, The White House and other great venues in the DMV.
Carp lives in Washington DC with his wife and two kids.
